Paige Roberts, Principal
785-235-7280
Mrs. Roberts has been in education for 20+ years.
She started her career in Hallsville, Missouri teaching 4th grade. From
there, she moved to sunny Florida and taught 3rd grade. She served as an instructional coach for several years at both the elementary and
secondary level. And she was later moved into an Assistant Principal position at
the high school.
After living in Florida for nine years, she returned to the Midwest and went back into the classroom, teaching 3rd
grade and then moved back into the instructional coach role. Eventually, she became a consultant working with multiple schools at various levels and district leadership teams. The work primarily focused on John
Hattie’s visible learning strategies and research, which allowed her to move back into a leadership role as Assistant Principal at State Street Elementary School. Mrs. Roberts has been at State Street since 2020.
Mrs. Roberts received her bachelor's degree in elementary education from the University of Missouri-Columbia, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude (Go Tigers!). While living in Florida, she earned her master's degree in educational leadership from the University of North Florida.
Mrs. Roberts and her husband are high school sweethearts. They make their home in Silver Lake with their two
bassets, Merle and Myrtle. They enjoy trying new restaurants in the Topeka area, since they are native to the Kansas City area, this is new territory for them.
Mrs. Roberts is honored to serve as your principal at State Street Elementary School. Her passion is advocating for students to be successful as they advance through their school years here in Topeka Public Schools. One of her primary goals is to build a home-school connection with families, making them feel welcomed within the school environment, as well as part of our everyday learning community. Her motto is, “Learn something new every single day!” It’s great to be a STAR!
