Friday WAFFLE Program

Due to COVID-19, our WAFFLE program is currently not in session during late start Fridays.

In order to ensure that our teachers can have time to plan and coordinate quality instruction, the district allows them to meet from 8:00 to 9:20 on Fridays. The building would normally not be available to students during this time. The First United Methodist Church in Topeka understood that this shift may have created a burden for some parents. They put their heads together and created WAFFLE.

WAFFLE is a FREE Friday, before-school program that allows students to come and have a fun experience doing things that they may not have the opportunity to do in any other situation. Sports, building birdhouses and seeing live performers are just some of the fun things that the volunteers coordinate to help students!

If you are interested in your student joining WAFFLE, please reach out to the front office at 785.235.7280 and they would be happy to give you an application!

Big thank you to the First United Methodist Church for their coordination of this wonderful opportunity!
